General QTUM facts, technical details and general information about Qtum crypto currency
Qtum (QTUM) is a digital currency with an open source code. It is part of Quantum project, launched in early 2016 by a promising team from Singapore, led by Patrick Dai. The developers managed to unite in Qtum the main characteristics of two well-known cryptocurrencies – Bitcoin and Ethereum. From Bitcoin Qtum (QTUM) has borrowed the core technology and the function of adding abstraction to accounts. However, the project has its own, original stage of abstraction, which made it possible to achieve interaction between the Bitcoin core and the Ethereum virtual machine without any obstacles.
The key features of Qtum (QTUM): core technology taken from Bitcoin; virtual machine from Ethereum; reliable protocol Proof of stake; mobile applications for managing the currency; block with the option of self-regulation; a network designed for business needs.
Qtum (QTUM) project was launched with support of influential investors in the cryptocurrency world – Anthony Di Iorio, Staru Xu, Xiaolai Li and Bo Sheng, who jointly invested more than 1 million dollars in a promising start-up.

QTUM was poised for greatness, but what happened? It’s surprising how a coin can be relevant one day and forgotten the next. This is common in many things in life, but it happens rapidly in the crypto eco-system. QTUM does have a working blockchain that we’re able to stake on with ease, but it just hasn’t caught any attention. Attention is what’s needed for projects to become and remain successful. Besides success, trader action is crucial for awareness. All TA indicators are pointing to a slow trend for QTUM, which makes is not even good for a long term hodl.
I’m a long time hodler on QTUM but I’m starting to have some doubts. They’ve been one of the most professional teams in crypto by releasing consistent updates and always being transparent. They have had nothing but success with their staking options and are entirely decentralized. You can view the nodes that are running the QTUM network and they are all over the world. This level of professionalism should pay off eventually because I can’t imagine that this won’t eventually make others into believers.
I just checked back on the QTUM price after not looking for over a year and I have to say I'm really disappointed in the performance of QTUM. What happened? It's not like their team dissolved or they exit-scammed. Why did this coin drop over 90% in the last year? Their staking platform is already live and has been life, as a matter of fact, I made so much QTUM by staking this last year that I actually made a good amount back in rewards from the amount that I lost from the initial investment. Overall QTUM is an awesome project with a great team, but the drop it had is just mind-blowing.
QTUM has such a middle-of-the-road presence in the crypto realm. They're professional yet lackluster. Can someone give the CEO a Redbull or something to motivate them to actually making some kind of public effort? This coin pumps 2-3% here and there and is usually in the red. For a project that already has live staking I just don't get it.
With a pre-mine of 49% and with a development plan for 4 years, it will take a very long time to wait for a return on your investment, if at all. Maybe it will turn out a long scam with such characters in the team.
