Bitshares is your typical altcoin that has no chances of reaching (or surpassing) it's all-time high ever again. Although BTS followed the suite of the whole crypto market this year by going on what turned out to be a parodical bull run, it then has dipped even below its starting positions. I have to admit that I placed my trust in this coin, but it failed me miserably. That's why I am only holding BTC now.
I am not particularly fond of BitShares mainly because it has a somewhat confusing concept and a really weak price swings. I mean once the price of BTS makes a significant move in any direction, it then always enters a super long consolidation period during which there's not much action going on. Therefore, I have missed out on a price move, especially if it's a dip, then you would be stuck with BitShares for weeks.
I was never into bitshres and I still don't think its a good project. I do however think its good for a short term move coming up. A lot of chatter about Bitshres coming down the pipe.
Bitshares has been a bumpy road. I'm curious about what the user below me is talking about regarding BitShares X? Will there be a new token? Is it an airdrop or is it an actual fork? I would like to participate if this means an airdrop.
After the last block on February 28, a snapshot of the BitShares-PTS balances (formerly ProtoShares) will be taken. Based on this snapshot, a BitShares X test chain will be launched later in March, which, if everything goes well, will become real. If there are problems in it, a new test chain will be launched, but again based on a snapshot of balances from February 28.
